
Most people I meet do not even know the main genetically modified “foods” in the US marketplace. The majority of Corn, Soy, Canola and Cottonseed Oil, and Sugar are genetically modified “foods” and to a lesser extent papaya, yellow squash, and zucchini. According to the Institute for Responsibility Technology there has only been one limited study done on the effects of GMO’s on humans. However, there are numerous studies done on the effects of feeding GMO’s to animals. These studies show an array of health consequences and abnormal physiological functioning. I recommend playing it safe and avoiding these “foods” wherever possible by buying them with “organic” or “non-gmo” labels.
